What Can You Not Clean Black Marble With?
Because marble is more sensitive you do not want to use general all-purpose cleaners. All-purpose cleaners have some acidity and it will damage the soft surface of your stone. Do not use scrubbing sponges on your stone either. The stone is soft and when you are trying to remove stains with a scrubbing sponge it can cause serious damage to the surface. Try not to leave the marble surface wet. Marble is very porous so liquid can get absorbed quickly into the stone causing damage. Wipe up any spills and wipe down any water after you have cleaned it. If you have marble as a countertop make sure you do not sit or stand on it because it is not a very strong stone.
How Do You Get Stains Out of Black Marble?
We know accidents happen no matter how careful you are. So how do you get rid of stains that get on your marble? You should first try just water. Add some water to the stain, leave it for just a few seconds and then try scrubbing it off. If that does not work then you can make a baking soda mixer. Using baking soda and some water to make a paste and try putting that on the stain to help it come off. You can also add some dish soap to that paste to help get rid of the stain. Be careful not to scrub too hard because baking soda can be abrasive. Do not use hydrogen peroxide if you have black or dark marble it can bleed the marble.
Can Scratches Come Out of Black Marble Stone?
If you have a small scratch you can rub it away. Use hot water and a soft cloth, pour the water over the scratch and rub it. You can also add some dish soap if needed. If it is a deeper scratch you can use some very fine-grain sandpaper and rub the scratch very lightly. Don’t use rough-grain sandpaper. You can cause more damage to your marble. If you are trying to polish your marble then you can use polish powder on the damaged area.
