How to Remove Water Spots, Scuff Marks, Drink Spills & Other Stains from Tile Floors in Providence, NV

Despite your best efforts to keep your tile flooring clean accidents are bound to happen. When these accidents occur they almost always result in an overwhelming stain left that you have no idea how to clean. We are going to give you some cleaning tips for how to remove some common stains from your tile flooring.

How to Remove Drink Spills from Tiles

No matter what is on your tile floor we recommend starting with your traditional cleaning methods first. Sweep and mop your floor however you normally would. You may be surprised that some or all of the stain will come out with your mop and some elbow grease. If that does not work you will want to move onto some of our other tips.
One of the most commonly spilled items is drinks. Juice, soda, coffee, tea, and wine stains can be hard to remove from your tile floor. You will want to get a cleaning cloth or paper towels first. Thoroughly get all of the liquid off the tile first. Then get some hydrogen peroxide out to help remove the stain. Soak a paper towel or cleaning cloth with hydrogen peroxide. Apply the paper towel or cloth to the stained area. This should life the stain right off of your tile. When the stain is lifted you will want to rinse the area thoroughly to remove any of the hydrogen peroxide from your floor.

How to Treat Blood Stains on Tile Floors

Another stain that you may find on your tile is a blood stain. Whenever you are dealing with blood you will want to keep yourself safe by wearing rubber gloves. Get a bucket, bleach, spray bottle, clean cloth or paper towel, and water. Fill your bucket with one cup of bleach to 10 cups of water. Mix the solution thoroughly. Put the solution into your spray bottle and spray it generously onto the stained area. Get your clean cloth or paper towels and wipe up the area. Repeat this step until the blood stain is gone. Do not forget to wipe the area with clean water to get the bleach solution off of your tile when you are done.

How to Get Pen Ink Stains Off Tile Flooring

Next up is ink stains or permanent marker stains. There are a few methods that you can try to get these stains out. First grab a dry eraser cleaning sponge. Get the dry eraser white and scrub the area. Frequently this method will get rid of the stain. If that does not work get out some hydrogen peroxide. Soak a clean cloth or paper towel with hydrogen peroxide and place it on the stain. Blot up the ink or marker stain. You may need to clean your cloth or get a new paper towel to avoid spreading the stain as you clean. Lastly you will want to rinse the area with water to get the hydrogen peroxide off of your floor.
